Welcome

Hello and welcome to my website, thank you for visiting.

You may have come here for a range of different reasons: you might be seeking counselling, a mindfulness course, compassionate mind training or perhaps you thought you’d like to try attending a day retreat. All these are available at affordable rates in central Exeter, Devon, UK. Hopefully this website will help you to decide whether I am the right therapist/course facilitator for you. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to book an initial free consultation, a mindfulness course, compassionate mind training or a day retreat or if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you.

My Approach to Counselling and Therapy

As your therapist, I will empower you to bring about changes that will allow you to experience a greater sense of wellbeing and balance. What you learn in counselling or through a mindfulness or compassion course will continue to be beneficial throughout your life. The amount of time spent attending a course or counselling may be minimal, but the self-awareness, insight and skills that are gained will be valuable and rewarding in the long term.

Therapeutic Specialisations

I have specialised qualifications in Integrative Counselling and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), with additional training in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Much of my practice is based on individual counselling although MBCT and CFT are often facilitated in a course context.

Other Information

Further courses and workshops will be available in Exeter in early 2020.

Please sign up to the mailing list below if you wish to be notified as courses are added to the website and of occasional offers available on them. By entering your details here they will only be used for this purpose. Please see the Privacy Notice in the footer for further information.

I also facilitate a Mindfulness Practice Development Community on Facebook which offers support for people who are developing a mindfulness practice at home following attendance on an 8-week course, or who are using self-help resources independently to do so. I similarly provide a Compassionate Mind Practice Development Community on Facebook for previous attendees of Compassionate Mind Training. Joining and being a member of either of these groups is free of charge.

I am fully insured and follow the ethical code of practice of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness Teachers. I also receive regular supervision for both my counselling and mindfulness teaching practice in line with these guidelines.
